EWRT 2.15 Weeks 11 & 12

1. Peer Review of Working Draft 2 (6 points) is due no later than noon, Friday, March 23)

• Write comments for each of your group members' drafts

• Using "A Peer Review Checklist for a Draft of an Argument" in Barnet (p. 247), answer at least 3 of the questions in detail

• Analyze the essay's use of logos, pathos, and ethos; which is the strongest? which is the weakest? (see Barnet, pp. 65-67,  OWL at Purdue Rhetorical Strategies (Logos, Ethos, Pathos), and/or Color Coded Rhetorical Analysis of Letter from Birmingham Jail)

2. No regular class on Wednesday, March 21; optional conferences & Quiz 9 (3 points):

• Be sure that you have read the introductory sections of Chapters 10, 11 & 12 in Barnet

• Be sure that you have finished reading Bangkok 8

• Be sure to check this webpage for Quiz 9 instructions (available after noon on Wednesday; quizzes due via e-mail attachment to Mary by midnight Wednesday).

3. Final version of Essay 2 (20 points)
   

• Due in class on Monday, March 26

• Be sure to have the document file available to work on in class.

4. Final Exam (10 points)
   

• Friday, March 30

• 11:30-1:30 in ATC102
