Preliminary Draft Assignment 1AAssignment Instructions:
- Write as much as you can in response to the image you see in the document template for a Preliminary Draft Assignment 1A, using this idea generator.
- Before 2:00 p.m., proofread your essay; print out a copy; send a copy to schultzmary@deanza.edu
Tips for drafting a response, using the circle idea generator:
- Starting with one of the quadrants, write a paragraph describing your response to the image in as much detail as possible.
- In a clock-wise, or counter-clockwise rotation, write one paragraph for each of the other three quadrants.
- Re-read your first paragraph, and then write a conclusion in which you discuss how your first response to the image changed or didn’t change or was modified or was enriched, or was complicated by responding to the image using the other functions.
- This exercise is to help you with the early process of “having something to say” about the image. Don’t worry about your audience while you draft your response.
- Answer only the questions that seem really helpful to you—and answer those in detail. Make up other questions to ask and answer, for yourself.
