Read carefully, and then write an analytical response to the opinion piece published here:
http://blog.oregonlive.com/oregonianopinion/2008/02/by_todd_huffman_md_i.html
Do you agree with Huffman that the film version of No Country for
Old Men is the "Best Film ever on the War on Drugs"? As part of your
analysis, be sure to identify and evaluate the author's reasons for
believing that the film is a valuable example of "storytelling as
persuasion" (pp. 353-54, Becoming a Critical Thinker). To develop
your response, you should compare and contrast the depictions of the
illegal drug trade in both the book and film versions of No Country for
Old Men, and indicate which you believe is the more valuable
example of storytelling as persuasion. Be sure to provide specific
examples to illustrate, explain, and support the reasons for your opinion.
