This two-part assignment will count as Quiz 10. These summaries will help everyone on the Final Exam, so keep that in mind!
Part One: (Due before we view the film version of NCFOM at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 18
- Read all of the prefaces (the italicized portions of each section, I-XIII).
- Read
your assigned section carefully (see list, below), and make a list of specific things you
will be looking for in the movie. Use your marginal annotation codes!
Part Two: (Due before class on Monday, June 23)
- Immediately
after viewing the movie version, go over your list, make notes about
what is exactly the same in the film version; close to the film
version; very different in the film version; missing in the film
version; added to the film version.
- Write a summary comparing and contrasting your assigned section of the book version of No Country for Old Men with
the film version. Post your summary to our Yahoo! group before Monday,
June 23, using the the Subject line: YOURLASTNAME Section (I-XIII)
