READING 211READING 211 is a stand-alone, 5-unit course designed to help students become lifelong readers, and to succeed in EWRT 1A and all future college classes. We focus on the skills of previewing, using context clues, finding main ideas, annotating, paraphrasing, making valid inferences, and examining persuasive writing. In addition to lectures, students often work in small, cooperative groups.
