Preceptorship Information for Students in Quarters 4 & 5
Students in the second year of the nursing program often have questions about Quarter 6, even though it might be several months away. This page is designed to give some basic information about the preceptorship and what it entails.
During Quarter 4 (usually after the midterm examination) a basic informational talk is given to the students. Click on the following link for a copy of this talk.

After the presentation, students are instructed to complete a survey form, where they are able to indicate their preferences for preceptorship. Remember, on this survey you are able to request (i.e., not "pick") what your ideal preceptorship would be. The final assignment is made by the Quarter 6 Instructor based on actual availability of hospital placements. The first 2 pages of the survey form are information items for you to keep. Page 3 is the portion you need to print and turn into the Quarter 6 instructor. For a copy of this survey form, click here:
