MCC Building Users CommitteeThe Multicultural Center (MCC) Building Users Committee has had three meetings since December that included the selection of an architect, and review of several proposed floor plans for the upcoming remodel of the IIS Division office, classrooms and Center space.
With teaching schedules and other commitments, it has been challenging to meet at a time that includes everyone. If you have concerns, please email or leave a voicemail for Duane, Jo Ann, Michael or Eb, who have been attending meetings consistently.
The Mediated Learning Center will house the future language labs and World language instructors have representation with Cristina Moreno. We understand that classrooms will be available in that space for at least some of our language classes, since we will be losing three classrooms in the MCC remodel.
After discussion from the first two meetings, the architects returned with two revised floor plans, and the favored one became the focus of further discussion. We should be receiving a "clean" version of the floor plan by next week, and at that time Duane will be attaching a copy to an email to "All IIS".
