IIS Division Meeting: Wednesday, Nov 18, 3:30-4:30pm, MCC-12.1116
Turn Lost and Found items directly to Campus Security: Please take any items left in your classroom directly to Campus Security for Lost and Found. We no longer have staff in the division office to relay these materials for you. 116
Faculty Staff Women's Room in L-5 rekeyed: We are in the process of ordering new keys for the rekeyed L-5 Faculty Staff restroom. 110209
Reminder to return desks to original arrangements, turn off lights and lock doors. We have had multiple reports of first morning class instructors finding MCC building doors unlocked and the lights on. We are close to the parking lot and a tempting target. Please don't make it easier for vandals and thieves.
Started last week: Each entry to the Home Page for the IIS internal website will be date stamped w/o punctuation, e.g. 100709.
Please announce/remind your students: The DA webpage posts the current walking paths and other construction changes campus wide in the "News and Notes" box. Paths and parking will remain fluid during this quarter and for the next two-three years. Timely access to current information will help your students make it to class on time, lessening all of our frustration. 100709
Reminder: We do not have student clerical support this quarter. Certain tasks that were performed by our students are falling back on the d.a. desk. Thank you for your patience.
Please check your IIS Division mailbox: Instructors, please check your IIS division mailbox on a regular basis. For example, when our part-time office hour form is returned to us without your signature or areas left blank, we place it in your division mailbox.
Surplus from Gerri Parker: There are two four-drawer vertical metal file cabinets and one two-door storage cabinet in MCC-15. If you can use it in your faculty office or if you need lockable storage in a classroom, please let Jo Ann know ASAP.
What's Going on Now
- Please welcome Julie Lewis (ICS/WMST 8), Kieu Tran (INTL 33), Jim Nguyen (ICS 22), and Larissa Favela (ICS/SPCH 7) in the classroom.
- Mae Lee is on sabbatical leave this quarter and Rowena Tomaneng is directing the AAPI grant in her absence.
- Next week Thursday and Friday, the campus will be closed for Thanksgiving.
- Out of the Office: Classified Senate meeting Thursday, Nov. 19, 2:30-4pm in the afternoon.
- We are still surplusing some of our furniture in our IIS Division office for a wider passage area to the back office area.
