Open Labs
Some open lab hours are available to students currently enrolled in the De Anza College electronic music classes. At the start of the fall 2008 term they currently include:
We may be able to add some additional open lab hours later in the term.
Electronic music students may also use available workstations during other electronic music class sessions as space is available. (Students enrolled in these classes always have priority over visitors hoping to get some extra open lab time, and those other classes for open lab time may have to use a different computer than they use in their class.) These include:
- MTWTh at 12:30-2:10
- Friday at 10:30-1:50
Studio rules are strictly enforced. These include:
- Access to A91 is limited to registered De Anza students currently enrolled in a class that meets in this classroom and uses the workstations for course-related assignments.
- No guests ever allowed without permission from a faculty member.
- No eating or drinking is permitted in the room.
If you allow anyone who does not meet these requirements to enter the room, much less use the equipment, you will lose your access to the classroom outside of your scheduled class - in other words, you will have no access to open lab hours. There could be other consequences as well, depending on the nature of the specific violation of this rule - e.g. repeated violation, what happens when unauthorized visitors are in the room and so forth.
