Language ExchangeWhat is the Language Exchange?
The Language Exchange is a program that promotes language learning and cross cultural understanding by matching partners to teach their native languages to one another.
After a successful Language Exchange in Winter 2003 during World Languages Week, the Listening and Speaking Center began to offer this program for two weeks each quarter.
Our Language Exchange program will take place from February 16 to February 26 during the winter 2010 quarter. The deadline is on February 3. Applications are available online and in ATC 304.

How The Language Exchange Works
It's simple! You exchange your native language for the language you are learning in one or more 60 minute sessions in ATC 304.
For example, if you are learning Mandarin and your first language is English, you will meet with a Mandarin native speaker who is learning English to practice your languages together.
This program is a lot of fun and you can sign up for as many sessions as you have time for!
Student Feedback
In the fall of 2009 76 students came together in ATC 304 to share their languages which included Arabic, English, Cantonese, Farsi, French, Japanese, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, and Vietnamese.
