Welcome to my webpage. Here's a brief bio about me. I have a BA in Physical Education/Kinesiology from San Francisco State
University. I took a few years off to think about a master's degree.
I decided to return to San Francisco State University and
I earned a MS in Counseling. I graduated in 2000 and began working at
De Anza shortly after graduation.
During my first year at De Anza,
the
Puente Project was brought to the campus for the first time. I was
hired to start it and became the first Puente Counselor and
Co-Coordinator.
In 2006, my colleagues and I created Summer Bridge to help incoming
first generation college students transition from high school. In 2007,
we created the First Year Experience (FYE) program. I continue to be
the Summer Bridge and FYE counselor and coordinator.
