Prerequisites:

  • Biology 40A, 40B and 40C or equivalent with a grade of C or better

Course Description:

Introduction to the sciences and the scientific method as exemplified by the study of microbiology. Morphology, metabolism, growth and genetics of bacteria and other microorganisms; chemical and physical means of control; the disease process and immunity. The importance of microorganisms to mankind; techniques and methods of microbiology.

NO ONE WILL BE ADDED THE FIRST DAY WITHOUT PROOF OF PREREQUISITES.

If space is available, the following procedure will be used:

 

- First, students will be added from the college waiting list

- Next, a lottery will be performed of people present the first day of class

 

- Please note: people in the lottery must have PROOF OF PREREQUISITES

- If you need to obtain proof of prerequiites, go to the Biological, Health and Environmental Sciences Division Office  (BEHS), Kirsch Center, room KC228, BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS
