BioI was born in San Francisco and have spent most of my life in the Bay Area, although I lived for one year in France (U.C. Education Abroad Program) and twelve years in Taos, New Mexico, where my three beautiful daughters were born. I currently live in the East Bay, and commute (which I don't love) to De Anza (which I do love)!
I love the students here. They (you) are open-minded, thoughtful, intelligent, and willing to learn. They inspire me and give me hope for our future.
My first two years of college were at San Jose State University (great school!). I then transferred to U.C. Davis, and graduated with a double-major B.A. in Political Science & French. I got my M.A. in Cultural Anthropology and a Ph.D. in Humanities from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
